What Is Beaded Jewellery?

When I’m asked about bead jewellery, people are often taken aback when I explain that it’s more than simply putting beads onto a string or wire.  Both of these techniques have their place, but there is more to beading than that. Bead jewellery is about creating something colourful, exquisite, flexible, dynamic - the possibilities are infinite. Creating and constructing pieces requires a great deal of patience and can be regularly frustrating to say the least but the outcome is worth it.

Beads can be of natural or man-made materials.  Within these two types, there are absolutely loads of different beads which have different shapes, sizes, colours, and weights.Click the LEARN MORE BUTTON BELOW  to find out about beads and materials used

The final overall look of the jewellery will depend on the design of the piece I want to make and I think very carefully about the types of beads I select for each project and what materials are readily available.
